Being as awesome as he is, there are very few people that Barry Penner looks up to. One of them is the personification of recycling himself, The Return-It Man. Of course, when they finally met, Barry Penner couldn’t help but get a picture with one of his personal heroes. Barry Penner doesn’t often work inside, preferring instead to spend his working hours (by which I mean all of his hours) out in The Environment. However, when he is forced to work inside he sure goes all out. Just look at everything he has at his desk… loose papers, pamphlets, a leather folder (no doubt holding even more paper and pamphlets), a notebook or PDA or whatever that thing is, even a cup of coffee and a dude in a suit. Barry Penner is ready for his day!

Barry Penner is often stopped by eager members of the press when he is out driving. He’s become used to it, and has even gone so far as to paint crazy designs on his car to make it easier for them to find. No point in making them hunt for him.
