Barry Penner makes a good point about the way that the world of today is different than the world of the past.

Environment Minister Barry Penner says pumping wastewater into the ocean might have been acceptable 150 years ago, but it’s not anymore.

“We’re in the 21st century and we need to do things differently than we did.” – The Times Colonist

Personally, I am a little concerned that Barry Penner thinks that the 20th century was 150 years ago, but I guess a decade feels like an eternity when you have The Environment to Minister.

improvement

Just what is the highway improvement listed in that gigantic sign, you may ask?  Isn’t it obvious? Having Barry Penner stand at the side of the road as people drive by! A huge improvement in the highway experience. Plus, it draws in the tourists to get their pictures taken with the one and only Barry Penner.
