The Environment is saved! At least, Gordon Campbell clearly thinks so. Why else would he pull Barry Penner, Mr. The Environment Himself, off of that all important portfolio after all these years?

Now, it seems Barry Penner has to turn his laser-like focus and incredible getting-things-done-edness ability to being the Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation.  He’s going to Relate to Aboriginals and Reconcile things all over the place… whatever that means. I’m sure he’ll figure it out soon enough.  It can’t be that hard.

Don’t worry, he’s still a fan of The Environment. It’s just grown up now and no longer needs Barry Penner’s master guidance.

When there is Environment-destroying goop all over the place, Barry Penner should always be your first call. He’ll both help clean it up and kindly point it out to people that wander by. You don’t want to accidentally step in it, after all.
