Last week, Barry Penner and his wife Daris LaPointe welcomed a new member to the family: Fintry Katherine Penner. Of course, Barry Penner is completely on top of things, and took the opportunity to introduce the infant to the high-paced world of the Barry Penner photo op. It’s never too soon to smile for the camera!

And if anyone doubted Barry Penner’s continued commitment to The Environment, take a look at this:

Their newborn’s name, Fintry, is a nod to a provincial park in the Okanagan that Penner visited while he was environment minister.

Well, it could be worse, I guess. She could be named Wrinkly Face Penner.

It seems that some dastardly soul has tied the doors to this building together with a jaunty green ribbon. Barry Penner has one criteria and one criteria only when choosing a new vehicle: Is it powered by some sort of crazy Environmentally-friendly technology?

The fact that this means he has to have his picture taken in front of it doesn’t even factor in.
