Barry Penner likes to bring along visual aids when he does a presentation. He finds it helps to have something specific to point to, plus it makes it a lot easier for everyone to understand what he’s going on about.

Barry Penner is the undisputed master of dramatic poses. Even when he’s just pointing at a dot on a map on a screen above another screen, Barry Penner pulls out all the stops and totally BLOWS YOUR MIND! Arm straight! Chin out! Leg dynamically up on something (I assume)! Windbreaker partially unzipped and collar undone in a ‘I’m casual, but still here to get stuff done’ kind of way! Blue-vest there will never forget the day he stood so close to such pure pointing majesty.

Barry Penner finally gave in and took the helicopter ride. Don’t worry, though. The helicopter pilot is getting the complete tour of The Environment from the air. Barry Penner is always ready and willing to impart some knowledge!

Barry Penner is awfully concerned about something there. I have no idea what it is, but it must be awfully concerning if Barry Penner is worried about it. Plus, he’s wearing a button AND a pin, so you know something is up.

Barry Penner knows computers. He’s so good at it, all he has to do is point at things and stuff happens. He doesn’t always quite get how or why it happens, but it does, and that’s the important part!

Being as awesome as he is, there are very few people that Barry Penner looks up to. One of them is the personification of recycling himself, The Return-It Man. Of course, when they finally met, Barry Penner couldn’t help but get a picture with one of his personal heroes. Naturally, The Return-It Man was thrilled to get a picture with one of his personal heroes, Barry Penner.

Barry Penner gives a quick lesson on how to pose for a great nature shot.

First, you find some Environment. A mountaintop or any sort of running water is ideal. It’s best if you can find some without an ugly building behind it, but sometimes you have to take what you can get.

Second, find something to get your leg up on.  A rock is good, a pier will do in a pinch, or even just standing a little weird so it LOOKS like your leg is on something. The important thing is to get your knee up. It looks more dynamic that way.

Next, find something waaaaaaaay off in the distance and point at it. This gives it a sense of mystery. What is Barry Penner pointing at while standing in a dynamic pose in front of some Environment? I certainly don’t know!

Finally, wear an orange vest. That’s so that people can see where you are.
