Barry Penner may not be an Olympic athlete, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t stood atop a podium or two in his day. He always tries for the top spot, but naturally, he sometimes has to settle for Silver or Bronze. But that’s alright. Barry Penner knows that it isn’t the color of the medal that is important, it’s the fact that you are Barry Penner. And Barry Penner always gets a Gold in that event.

In case you weren’t paying attention… it’s time for theme week. And in case you really weren’t paying attention, this week’s theme is Barry Penner’s Podium Finish. You know, because of the Vancouver Olympics and all that (man, you DEFINITELY haven’t been paying attention).

Hey everyone! It’s time for the Olympics! I hope you got your tickets a while back, they aren’t exactly easy to come by, you know. Barry Penner may be going, but only under very specific circumstances:

Chilliwack-Hope MLA Barry Penner did not rule out attending the Olympics for free. But he said that if he does so, “It will be in my work capacity representing Chilliwack-Hope and the province of British Columbia.”

So, we’ll be seeing Barry Penner in the Olympic crowds then? It doesn’t matter if he’s catching some two-man luge or cross-country skiing, Barry Penner always represents Chilliwack-Hope. That’s why he’s the Barry Penner.

Barry Penner wanted to suit up and join in, but the teams couldn”t agree on which side he should be on. Sadly, the only diplomatic solution was to have Barry Penner drop the puck. He dropped the HECK out of that puck, though.
